Man arrested for uttering threats

A 33-year-old Chatham-Kent man is facing charges in connection to a threats investigation.

Police said officers were waved down on Wellington Street West in Chatham at around 7:53 a.m. on Wednesday.

The victim told police that an aggressive man threatened them during a verbal argument.

Police located the accused near King Street and William Street North about an hour and a half later.

The man was arrested and charged with uttering threats. He was released from police custody with a future court date of November 4.

CK police make multiple warrant arrests

Chatham-Kent police have crossed a few more names off the wanted list.

At around 11:36 p.m. Wednesday, police located a man on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg and determined that he was wanted in connection to several investigations.

The 33-year-old man was arrested and taken to police headquarters pending a bail hearing.

He faces charges that include trespassing at night, break and enter, theft, assault, and two counts of failing to attend court.

While on general patrol Wednesday afternoon, CK police spotted a wanted man near McNaughton and Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.

Officers confirmed that the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for missing a court date in relation to a breach of probation investigation.

The 32-year-old Wallaceburg man was transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing.
