Two people accused of murdering a woman in Chatham will have their cases proceed, but not until next year.
Jeffrey Davis, 44, of Chatham, and Sky-Linn Holden, 23, are both still in custody facing charges of first-degree murder and committing an indignity to a body.
The pair will have a focus hearing on April 28, 2025 then a five-day preliminary hearing on July 29, 30, 31, August 1, and 18, 2025.
Davis and Holden were charged after a woman was found dead at a home on William Street South in Chatham on June 4.
Chatham-Kent police previously identified the deceased as 27-year-old Louise Thomson from Milton, Ontario near Toronto.
Co-accused David Lozon, 59, of Chatham, who was initially charged with first degree murder, had that charge dropped in late September because the prosecution said there was not enough evidence and no reasonable prospect of conviction.
Lozon is currently out on bail. He is still charged with committing an indignity to a human body and accessory after the fact to murder.
Lozon will return to Chatham court on November 27 and has a new lawyer.
