Man Charged with Violating Release Conditions

A 36-year-old man previously arrested for sexual-related offences against a young person has been arrested again for breaching his bail conditions.

Chatham-Kent police said he agreed to not communicate or be in the company of any person under the age of 16 when he was released after his first arrest on October 23, 2024. However, when officers responded to a domestic call in Blenheim on Thursday night he was allegedly found at a home with a young person.

Youth Charged with Assault

Chatham-Kent police have arrested and charged two youths after an assault in Chatham.

Police say a woman was assaulted with bear spray on Friday just after midnight near Queen Street in Chatham.

According to police, a 15-year-old boy is charged with assault with a weapon, failing to comply with court orders, and administering a noxious substance.

A 16-year-old boy was also charged with assault with a weapon and administering a noxious substance.

Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant

A woman wanted in Chatham-Kent has been arrested by Sarnia police and turned over to Chatham-Kent police.

Sarnia police notified CK police on Thursday night that they had a wanted 42-year-old woman in their custody. Chatham-Kent police had arrest warrants out for the woman for failing to attend court, arson, theft, possession of property obtained by crime, and assaulting a police officer.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
