CK events set to mark Canada Day

Canada turns 158 on July 1, and with that comes a list of celebrations.

The province is allowing residents to fish for free in Ontario from June 28 to July 6. This is the fourth and final time Ontarians can fish for free this year. If you do plan to fish during this time, all catch and size limits and other fishing regulations remain in place.

All across Chatham-Kent, residents will be able to set off their own fireworks in celebration. Consumer fireworks can be set off three days before, on, and three days after July 1 until 11 p.m. and must be set off on private property, not municipal property.
