The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHAF) is celebrating a very generous and remarkable fundraising year.
On Thursday morning, CKHAF reported more than $1.1 million was raised for local healthcare from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026.
CKHAF thanked the generosity of donors, businesses, service clubs, community organizations, volunteers, and event participants from across Chatham-Kent for the remarkable investment.
According to the foundation, the money will go towards buying vital equipment and technology, along with supporting programs and patient care initiatives across the Chatham and Wallaceburg hospital sites.
"This past year was one of tremendous progress for our Foundation and our hospital, and every achievement was made possible by the incredible generosity of our community," said Christine Mitchell, President and CEO of CKHAF. "The more than $1.1 million committed to local healthcare reflects the strength of our community and its shared commitment to exceptional care close to home. It represents lives touched, patients cared for, and people coming together to make a lasting difference for our hospital."
Funding committed during the 2025-2026 fiscal year was spent on new diagnostic imaging technology, emergency and critical care and women and children's care programs, the Patient Assistance Fund, and many other hospital priorities, noted CKHAF.
