Jr. Hockey Wrap-Up – November 10, 2017

The London Nationals fell 2-1 to the St. Thomas Stars in GOJHL action on Friday.

Brett Primeau scored the one goal for London.

The Nationals are in Strathroy on Saturday to battle the Rockets at 7:30pm.

And in Junior C hockey, the Lakeshore Canadiens hammered the Wheatley Sharks 7-1.

Mitch Chittle, Michael Long, Steven Sartor, Dylan Bradley, Matt Smith, Colton Coates and Kyle Brothers all scored once for Lakeshore.

Justin Pinsonneault scored once for Wheatley.

The Sharks will return to their home ice on Monday to take on the Petrolia Flyers at 7pm. And then on Tuesday, the the Canadiens head to Essex to face off against the 73's at 7pm.

As well, the Amherstburg Admirals topped the Dresden Kings 4-3 in overtime.

Travis Campbell, Caleb Paquette and Austin Jennings all scored once for Amherstburg during regular time, and Jennings scored the game winner in OT.

Geoffry VandenBoorn, Cory Lucier and Lucas Spence each scored one goal for Dresden.

The Admirals return to Amherstburg on Saturday to take on the Blades at 7pm. Also on Saturday, the Kings head to Mooretown to play the Flags at 7:30pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
