OPP say Ontario drivers are not getting the message, put the phone down, drive sober and obey the speed limit.
Since the start of June, 27 people have died in 23 crashes on Ontario roads. Two drivers have been charged with impaired driving causing death.
"These senseless road deaths are revealing the same causal factors over and over again," says OPP Deputy Commissioner Brad Blair. "Until all drivers stop speeding, driving impaired or distracted and ensure that everyone in their vehicle is buckled in, history will continue to repeat itself and innocent people will continue to die on our roads."
These fatal collisions have pushed the yearly total up to 124.
Now that summer is officially under way, the OPP Is asking all drivers to obey the rules and speed limits of the road.
Officers urge anyone who suspects a driver of being impaired to call 911.
