Josie Glenn Murder Suspect Appears In Court

It was another brief court appearance Friday for the London man accused in the murder of Josie Glenn.

Oluwatobi Boyede appeared in court by video link from the Elgin Middlesex Detention Centre. The 25-year-old's appearance lasted only a couple minutes and the only words he spoke were his name.

A representative for Boyede's defence lawyer Keli Mersereau told the court they have yet to receive disclosure from the Crown and asked the case be put over for another week.

Boyede is charged with second degree murder and offering an indignity to a human body in relation to the death of Glenn. The charges were laid after the Sarnia-native's remains were found at a home on South Leakside Circle on October 27. Glenn had been reported missing five days before the grisly discovery was made.

The home where Glenn's remains were found is one Boyede shares with his mother and sibling.

Boyede will make his next video court appearance on the murder charge on November 17. That is one week before he is slated to appear on charges of assaulting a woman and sexual assaulting, choking, and forcibly confining another woman. Those charges stem from two separate incidents in February of this year.

A preliminary hearing on those charges is also scheduled for March 5.
