More than a month after an elderly cyclist was killed in a hit-and-run in east London, police are again turning to the public for help.
Tae-Khun “Thomas” Ha was cycling west on Dundas St. when he was hit by a vehicle that then took off around 5:45pm on January 2. The 85-year-old man died from his injuries five days later.
London police have so far been unable to identify the driver in the fatal collision and on Thursday renewed their plea for tips in the case.
“There is someone out there who knows who was driving that vehicle,” said Sergeant Sean Harding. “There is a family grieving, not knowing what happened here. We want to give this man’s family some sense of closure.”
Police previously announced the suspect vehicle is believed to be a 2011 to 2016 white Dodge Journey. The SUV would have damage to the passenger side and headlight area. It was last seen heading north on Highbury Ave. from Dundas St.
