Police release pictures of apartment flooding suspects

London police are hoping the public can help identify three men they believe are responsible for flooding a London apartment building.

Police released pictures and surveillance video of the three men suspected of causing damage to a water pipe at a 14-storey building at 940 Commissioners Rd. E on July 10. The resulting cascade of water caused an estimated $3 million to $5 million in damage to the first three floors of the building and forced several residents out of their homes.

Third-floor resident Jim Handy, who was asleep in his bed when the water started flowing, said on the day of the incident that it was the fire alarm that alerted him to the problem.

"I just assumed someone pulled the fire alarm and the next thing I know I had water coming in under my front door," said Handy. "I quickly got dressed, opened the apartment door and saw all of the water gushing down the hallway."

Police are asking the public to call police or Crime Stoppers if they have information about the identity of the three men pictured above. A surveillance video of the suspects was also released Tuesday.
