Truck crashes into St. Thomas business, takes off

St. Thomas police are looking for the driver of a pickup truck that crashed through the front window of a downtown business and then took off.

Witnesses told police a white Ford F-150 was headed north on Elgin Street when it ran through the intersection at Talbot Street around 1:15 a.m. on Thursday. The vehicle smashed into the front of "Frank About It," a business located on the north side of Talbot.

The driver then reversed the truck out of the building and was last seen heading westbound.

No injuries were reported.

Police are asking anyone who spots a pickup with front end damage or has information about the collision to call them at 519-631-1224 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
