Doobie Brothers bringing 50th anniversary tour to London

Doobie Brothers fans will be able to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominated band in London next summer.

Tom Johnston, Pat Simmons, and John McFee are reuniting with Michael McDonald for the group's 50th-anniversary tour. They will take to the stage at Budweiser Gardens on July 18, 2020.

The London date was one of 23 additional tour stops announced on Monday.

"The fans will have a chance to hear all our hits, as well as deep cuts, and new material. I know these will be very special performances,” Simmons said in a statement.

This is the first time in 25 years that McDonald has toured with the group.

The Grammy Award winners have sold nearly 50 million albums worldwide over the past five decades. They have had five top-10 singles, 16 top-40 hits, three multi-platinum albums, seven platinum albums, 14 gold albums and a rare diamond record for their 1976 album, Best of the Doobies.

The North American tour will include a wide range of the band's hits including “Listen To The Music,” “Takin’ It To The Streets,” and “Long Train Running."

Tickets for the London performance go on sale next Friday (December 6) at 10 a.m. at the Budweiser Gardens box office, by phone at 1-866-455-2849 and online at www.budweisergardens.com. Ticket prices start at $72.50 (plus service charges.)
