It appears no one was hurt after gunshots rang out a few blocks apart in west London over the weekend.
Police were called to an area of Baseline Road West near Wharncliffe Road around 7:20 p.m. Sunday after a resident reported hearing what they thought was gunfire earlier in the day. Police arrived on scene and evidence that a gun had been fired was found.
"Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that citizens heard what they believed to be the sound of multiple gunshots between 5:45 – 6 a.m., on Sunday morning in the area of Gladman Avenue and West Street," police said in a news release issued Tuesday. "Although multiple people heard the sounds, no one notified police at the time."
At this point, there has been no injuries reported in connection with the gunplay and no weapon has been located.
The investigating is ongoing.
Last month, police were called to three other instances of shots ringing out in the city. The first two happened on March second less than an hour apart on Marconi Boulevard south of Trafalgar Street and in the area of Rectory and Walker streets. The window of a home was hit but no one was hurt. Then on March 17, shots were fired outside of a home on Berkshire Drive, south of Springbank Drive. A 62-year-old man was charged in relation to that incident.
