It's been two years since 176 people lost their lives in the downing of Flight PS752.
The Association of Families of Flight PS752 Victims held several events to remember those who died.

On January 8, 2020, an international flight was scheduled from Tehran to Kyiv. Shortly after takeoff, the plane was shot down and all 176 people aboard were killed.
After an investigation, it was revealed that the Iranian military shot down the plane after mistaking it for a cruise missile.
According to flight records, 138 0f the 167 passengers were travelling to Canada via Ukraine. Sixty-three of the deaths were Canadian citizens.
Many of the lives lost were those of students and academics. Western University lost four students in the crash, while the University of Windsor lost five.

The crash was the largest loss of Canadian lives, in aviation, since 1985.
