OLG Payments Boost Revenues For Hanover And Central Huron

Central Huron and Hanover continue to benefit from hosting OLG slots.

Hanover has received a third quarter payment of $276,603.

Since February of 2001 Hanover has received over $14.9 million in non tax gaming revenue.

Central Huron's third quarter payment adds up to $141,751.

OLG has paid out over $9.7 million to Central Huron since August 2000.

"OLG provides host municipalities with significant revenue each year that helps communities invest in local priorities such as infrastructure, programs and services that benefit Ontario families,” said Charles Sousa, Ontario's Minister of Finance. “Along with supporting local development, these funds also benefit Ontario’s vital public services such as health care and education."

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
