Listowel Residents Asked To Help Solve Senseless Crime Spree

Listowel residents are being asked to help the OPP find those responsible for a graffiti spree.

Last Saturday morning, the OPP received numerous reports of vandalism and mischief throughout Listowel.

A number of vehicles, homes and buildings were spray-painted with yellow and orange graffiti.   There were some offensive images and random paint bursts.   The total damage is estimated in excess of $5000.

The Listowel Memorial Arena and the Listowel District Secondary School were among the targets that were 'tagged'.

Police believe the suspects would have been active between midnight and 6:00 a.m. Saturday, and may have been travelling by foot.

The OPP are asking anyone with video surveillance to review their recordings between those hours.

Anyone who can help is asked to contact the Perth County OPP, or Crime Stoppers.
