A Grey Highlands man has been given a suspended sentence and three years probation in the accidental death of his son.
Emanuel Bauman, 33, will also have to serve 240 hours of community service and is suspended from driving for 10 years.
It was noted that Bauman does not have a license.
Bauman's 4-year old son Steven died last year on the Mennonite's family farm when he fell out of the bucket of a skid steer and suffered a fatal head injury.
Bauman was operating the skid steer at the time. He was convicted of criminal negligence causing death back in May.
During the hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound Thursday, the justice noted that Bauman suffered the ultimate price in losing his son.
The crown was seeking a two year jail term while the defence was looking for a suspended sentence and two years probation.
