Owen Sound prepares for municipal election

The City of Owen Sound is reminding residents to ensure they are on the voters list for October's municipal election. Internet and Telephone Voting will be used for the 2022 Municipal Election. Visit the election website at www.owensoundvotes.ca or the Service Owen Sound counter at City Hall to check if you are on the Voters’ List.

Electors will be able to cast votes anywhere with access to the internet or a touchtone telephone, including at Help Centres located at City Hall and Heritage Place Mall. Rotary phones may not be used. There will be no paper ballots for this election.

Voter Information Letters will be mailed to electors at the beginning of October and will include voter credentials and instructions on how to vote. The Voter Information Letters will also contain the location and hours of Help Centres that will be available during the voting period.

Votes can be cast from 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022, to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2022. Votes can be cast 24 hours a day during the Voting Period.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
