The Town of South Bruce Peninsula will be re-enacting the paid parking program in Sauble Beach at the start of June.
From June 1 through the September long weekend, paid parking rates will take effect in Sauble Beach. The rates will be unchanged from last year, which are $7 per hour or a $30 daily rate. A release from South Bruce Peninsula claims they have reached out to the Saugeen First Nation to discuss parking revenue sharing opportunities following the recent land claim ruling.
Season passes for residents can be bought for $50 per vehicle with no pro-rating. Passes can only be purchased by contacting town hall, and residents don't need to physically go to the hall. They can contact the clerk’s office to arrange for payment and to supply the proof that will be required to determine residency. The vehicle for a resident pass must belong to the resident. Vehicle ownership will need to be shown.
Season passes for non-residents can be purchased for $200 per vehicle. They can be purchased at the machines, by using the Passport Parking Canada app or website. They can be purchased after June 1.
