SBGHC to answer questions about bed move

The South Bruce Grey Health Centre (SBGHC) will hold a community webinar on May 14 to answer questions about the recently announced inpatient bed move.

A total of 10 inpatient beds will be taken out of Durham hospital and be taken to Walkerton and Kincardine next month.

The webinar will take place on Zoom, addressing questions from concerned community members. President and CEO Nancy Shaw will be in attendance, as well as the leadership team.

You are able to phone into the meeting or join online here. Calling is available at 1-647-374-4685. The meeting ID code is 820 8456 8861. The passcode is 585851.

A media release sent out by SBGHC says the move is due to a "critical shortage of staff", expected to worsen in the summer. It adds it allows it to keep urgent and emergent services running in Durham.

If you have questions on the topic, they can be sent ahead of time to communications@sbghc.on.ca. SBGHC said it will do its best to get to all questions that come during the webinar as well.

It will take place on May 14 at 11 a.m.
