Georgian Bluffs residents can view draft official plan

People in the Township of Georgian Bluffs will get a chance to review and comment on the township's draft Official Plan.

A public meeting will be held June 5, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers to discuss proposed updates to the Official Plan.

The township's Official Plan outlines the goals, objectives, and policies for guiding land use development in Georgian Bluffs over the next 25 years.

The plan is expected to help ensure that development is managed within the context of social, economic, built, and natural environmental factors.

Updates to the Official Plan are necessary to align with provincial plans and policies, and to conform with the County of Grey Official Plan.

People can speak at the meeting electronically by registering with the Township clerk by June 3, or by providing written comments to the clerk by May 30, 2024. These can be mailed or emailed and will be considered prior to any approval.

The township stated all information provided during this public meeting will form part of the public record and may be posted on the Township’s website or made available to the public upon request.
