A Howick area resident was heartbroken Friday to find two small dogs with a garbage bag in the ditch.
Robert Kienapple said the normally fluffy type dogs had matted fur, were shaking, and were covered in feces. The dogs were found on Malcolm Line, between Orange Hill Road and Salem Road Friday afternoon.
OPP were called to the scene, and the dogs were taken to a rescue, and to a vet for care. They will next see a groomer.
Kienapple suspects the dogs were from a puppy mill, and he hopes someone can track down who dumped them.
Kienapple says there was a receipt from a Grocery store in Hanover, and a slip of paper with the name "Bridgette" in the bag.
