March Break fun planned at Bruce County Museum

Families looking for adventure, creativity, and entertainment this March Break need look no further than the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre.

From March 8 to March 15, the Museum will be packed with movies, magic, science, crafts, and live shows, offering something for all ages.

The fun kicks off on March 8 with a special movie day at the Bruce Power Theatre. Families can enjoy free popcorn while watching The Wild Robot (2024, G) at 10:30 a.m., followed by the highly anticipated Wicked (2024, PG) at 1:00 p.m. Seats are limited, so preregistration is recommended.

Other exciting events include:

March 10, 11 a.m. – The Balloon Making Machine Show, an interactive performance filled with comedy, illusions, and incredible balloon creations.

March 11, 11 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. – For the Birds Craft Activity, where kids can decorate their own birdhouses inspired by the Museum’s exhibit.

March 12, 11 a.m. – Wild Ontario: North American Birds, a live bird presentation exploring Ontario’s fascinating feathered residents.

March 14, 11 a.m. – Comets, Space Rocks & Well-Dressed Astronauts: Science Show, featuring hands-on experiments with meteorites and simulated comets.

March 15, 11 a.m. – Steve Baker Magic Show, where The Great Steverino will dazzle the audience with tricks, and kids can learn simple magic themselves.

Presented by Judy Rich, Law Office, these events are free for Museum members, while general admission fees apply to non-members. Preregistration is required for select shows and includes Museum entry. For a full schedule and to register, visit brucemuseum.ca.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
