Bruce County's energy transition initiative supports local businesses

Bruce County’s Economic Development team has announced the launch of the Energy Transition Initiative, a new program designed to help local businesses adopt cleaner energy practices.

The initiative, launched earlier this month, will provide businesses with resources, training, and connections to support their shift to low-carbon or clean energy solutions.

Funded in part by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness, the initiative will assist businesses in developing formal energy transition plans, navigating regulations and financial incentives, and connecting with clean energy suppliers and funding organizations.

"Bruce County is proud to support our local businesses through the Energy Transition Initiative," said Jeff Loney, Economic Development Manager. "Providing businesses with the tools, connections, and resources to integrate clean-energy practices will help us build more sustainable businesses and communities."

In addition to expert guidance, businesses will have access to workshops, networking events, and marketing opportunities to showcase their successes. The initiative also aims to foster partnerships between businesses, clean energy suppliers, and funding organizations, encouraging collaborative solutions for a more sustainable future.

Bruce County encourages local businesses to take advantage of this opportunity to reduce their energy emissions, lower costs, and improve sustainability. Businesses interested in learning more can visit businesstobruce.com/energy-transition-initiative.
