Arran-Elderslie holding ceremony for Veterans Commemorative Crosswalk

The Municipality of Arran-Elderslie is inviting the public to a special ceremony for a new Veterans Commemorative Crosswalk.

The ceremony will take place on Monday, November 9 at 11 a.m. at the crosswalk located on Yonge Street at tBrook Street in Tara. It will run as part of Veterans' Week, and will "provide an opportunity for the community to come together in recognition of those who have served Canada and those who continue to serve today," a statement from the municipality said.

This new crosswalk will serve as a lasting tribute to the local veterans in the Arran-Elderslie community, and all of those who have served Canada from across the country.

Arran-Elderslie is hosting this event in partnership with Royal Canadian Legion Branch 383 Tara. Members of the public are encouraged to attend the dedication ceremony and join municipal representatives, Legion members, veterans, and community leaders as the new crosswalk is formally dedicated ahead of Remembrance Day.
