There is the chance of severe weather in the extreme heat and humidity Thursday and Friday.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement early Thursday afternoon advising that the hot, humid air mass impacting southwestern Ontario could generate moisture-laden slow-moving thunderstorms.
The national weather agency says local rainfall amounts of 25 mm to 50 mm (2 in) may be possible along with gusty winds.
Watch for threatening conditions and take shelter if necessary.
We're advised to go indoors when thunder roars for protection from lightning.
Remember some severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
