Sarnia board game returns to 'monopolize' pandemic free time

A Sarnia-themed board game is returning for a limited time to help keep people entertained during the pandemic.

Sarnia-Opoly, which was initially launched last November, is back on Walmart shelves.

It's a local take on the popular Monopoly franchise.

Senior Vice President of Outset Media Jean Paul Teskey says there are lots of local landmarks.

"We've got places like George Street, the Imperial Theatre and Galaxy Cinemas. We've even got Refined Fool Brewing Company, and the Stones and Bones Museum, all things Sarnia.

Teskey says one of their team members is from Sarnia, and helped them choose the spaces.

Other local attractions include Canatara Park Lambton Mall, the St. Clair River, and the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club.

Sarnia-Opoly sold thousands of copies when it first came out, and was a popular Christmas gift.

You can also buy the game online at www.walmart.ca.
