The number of active COVID-19 cases in Sarnia-Lambton continues to decrease and is now at 39.
Lambton Public Health reported seven new cases and 14 recoveries on Saturday.
There have been a total of 4,175 COVID-19 infections reported in Sarnia-Lambton since the beginning of the pandemic. There have also been a total of 4,065 resolved cases.
The local death toll remains at 71 and there are two active outbreaks in the community.
The region reached a milestone on Friday. Lambton Public Health announced that 80 per cent of residents aged 12 and older have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Vaccination efforts will continue with a couple of clinics scheduled for this weekend.
A walk-in vaccine clinic is being held at Lambton Mall on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The GoVaxx Bus will also be in Sarnia on Saturday at the Food Basics on Indian Road South, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. The mobile clinic will travel to the Mooretown Sports Complex on Sunday to offer vaccines from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
