The City Hall Christmas tree made its way down Christina Street on Tuesday.
The tree, donated by Kara Rollinson, was transported by Brandon Contractors and installed by Jebco Cranes.
Both companies donated their time and equipment free of charge.
Sarnia's parks and recreation forestry crew inspected the tree and helped secure it with cables in the fountain area at City Hall.
Residents can submit their trees as prospective candidates to save the cost of removing the tree themselves.
