Lambton Mall has welcomed its first cannabis store.
Tokyo Smoke recently opened an exterior location at the mall, adjacent to the Beer Store.
"We chose Lambton Mall because we want to better serve local communities," said Director of Marketing Iain Moodie. "But we also want to make sure that we offer a really safe, clean, fresh, bright shopping environment and opening within a mall makes sense for us."
The cannabis retail chain has 71 stores in Ontario, however, this is the first location in Sarnia-Lambton.
"Tokyo Smoke has been changing the public perception of cannabis since its inception through well-designed products and immersive retail," said Moodie. "We've come a long way but always at the core, is our belief that intentional cannabis use can better people's lives."
Should it do well, Moodie said there is a "distinct possibility" of opening another location in the area as they continue to assess the market.
Moodie said staff will be there to help "educate" customers about the various products offered such as vapes, edibles, flowers, and topicals.
