Sarnia police have made an arrest in a two-month long human trafficking investigation.
In March, the Sarnia Police Service launched an investigation in relation to a Georgetown man allegedly trafficking, procuring, and coercing a female victim to provide sexual services for his financial gain.
Police said 42-year-old Glendon Larmond is facing several charges including, trafficking in persons, forcible confinement, material benefit from sexual services, and advertising sexual services.
He was being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims in the Sarnia area, and are urging them to contact police at 519-344-8861, or Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
If you or someone you know are a victim of human trafficking, support and resources are available through several local agencies including the Sexual Assault Survivors’ Centre, Victim Services of Sarnia-Lambton and the Women's Interval Home.
