Funding For Sewer Project Welcomed

Sarnia's sewer system is getting an upgrade thanks to a $100,000 investment from the federal government.

Funds for the Colborne Sewer Area Condition Inspection Project are part of a $2.8-million fund aimed at improving water quality and restoring local ecosystems.

Mayor Mike Bradley says the money is welcome.

Mayor Bradley doesn't anticipate Colborne Rd. will need to be dug up because of new technology being used.

The government is providing funding for 30 projects in Canadian Great Lakes Areas of Concern including the St. Clair River.
