Coffee Shop Recognizes Canadian Military and First Responders

As we celebrate Canada's 148th birthday, a local business is thanking Canadian troops, veterans, and first responders for their service to the country. At a ceremony Tuesday morning, Global Donuts on London Line officially raised the Canadian flag and unveiled a memorial plaque. Owner Gus Pantazis says he hopes other businesses follow his lead in recognizing those who serve. "Can't thank them enough. They have to know that there is that gratification from everybody in this country," says Pantazis. "This country hasn't gotten to be a great country that it is without them." Pantazis adds that Sarnia, being a city so close to the U.S. border, should be flying Canada's flag high across the city.
