Imperial Oil Wins People's Choice At CANstruction

Imperial Oil's O-CANada creation is the People's Choice winner at this year's CANstruction competition at the Lambton Mall.

The structure that depicts an LEGO RCMP officer holding a Canadian flag raised the most money in public and company fundraising.

Imperial used 3,000 cans and donated $8,200 worth of canned goods and cash to the Inn of the Good Shepherd.

Overall, $11,000 was collected from the 17 entrants.

Over 43,000 lbs of food was donated which represents about one month's food for the Inn of the Good Shepherd.

The food bank is currently providing food for over 1,800 people each month.
