Bluewater Power Warns Of Door-To-Door Scam

Bluewater Power is warning of pesky door-to-door scammers in Sarnia-Lambton.

CEO Janice McMichael-Dennis says several complaints were received Tuesday.

"We've had calls from customers indicating that people have been coming to their door over the last few days, claiming to be from Bluewater Power or claiming to be a utility representative, asking to come in the house to check connections, asking for copies of bills and we just want to urge our customers to exercise caution," says McMichael-Dennis.

She says the utility will never send a representative to your door and ask to come in, unless there has been some sort of prior contact.

McMichael-Dennis reminds customers to never invite strangers into your home or let them see your bills.

If you have any concerns you can call the utility at 519-337-8201.
