The Sarnia Sting head into Flint, Michigan Friday night on a roll.
The club hasn't lost in regulation in 11 games dating back to before the trade deadline and is ranked fourth in the Canadian Hockey League top ten.
Thursday night the Sting overcame a slow start to score four unanswered goals in a 5-3 win over the Spitfires in Windsor.
Windsor native Anthony Salinitri led the attack with two goals and was named the game's first star. Salinitri's second goal, his 20th of the season, came on a short-handed breakaway in the third period.
Also scoring for Sarnia were Jordan Kyrou with his 27th, Franco Sproviero (8) and Jordan Ernst (24).
Aidan Hughes got the start in goal and settled down after a shaky start to record his seventh win of the season.
The Spitfires jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and led 3-1 early in the second period but the Sting dominated after that.
Windsor outshot the Sting 34-26 with Mike DiPietro going the distance in goal for the home team.
Sarnia visits the Flint Firebirds Friday night and returns home to host the rival London Knights in a nationally televised game Saturday afternoon.
The Memorial Cup will be on display at Progressive Auto Sales Arena as part of a 100th anniversary cross-country tour.
