Point Edward attraction makes big splash in first season

The opening season for Point Edward's splash pad exceeded expectations. Although it cost $35,000 to operate, a report to village council said that thousands enjoyed the water attraction this summer. At times, 200 to 300 kids were frolicking in the water with busloads from schools and daycares stopping by on day trips. The report also said the splash pad generated significant traffic to the village's waterfront with local businesses such as Albert's Rolling Lunch benefiting.

Dennis asks council for 'third chance'

City/County Councillor Bill Dennis is asking council to reconsider a previous decision and let him return to in-person meetings once they resume, even though it's unknown when sessions will return to Sarnia city hall.
