After a two-year renovation, the new Insignia hotel in downtown Sarnia is preparing to open next month.
The former Drawbridge Inn closed in June 2017.
Insignia spokesperson Carrie Fransham said refurbishment of the 87-room hotel, originally estimated at $4 million, includes a new outer facade, updated suites and a full-service restaurant.
"We have the Legacy restaurant which is a real rustic elegance, and it got some luxury to it," said Fransham. "An incredible menu with a kind of European flair to it and also upstairs we have the Regner's Tudor Lounge. Our mixologist and baristas will be together crafting up some really good drinks for you."
A job fair is being held Friday and Saturday at the Christina Street North hotel.
Spokesperson Robert Munroe said they're looking to fill all positions including desk services, maintenance, housekeeping, wait staff, bartenders and apprentices to the chef.
"We're looking for between 40 and 50 people to staff the hotel and the restaurants," said Munroe. "Show up with your resume and your great attitude and your personality."
The job fair is on until 7 p.m. Friday and again Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
