In a rare move, schools across the Lambton-Kent District School Board and St. Clair Catholic District School Board have all been closed for Tuesday.
This is in response to poor weather and road conditions caused by ice pellets and freezing rain.
Environment Canada issued a freezing rain warning on Monday for Sarnia-Lambton.
The national weather agency says freezing rain could persist for up to six hours before changing to rain Tuesday afternoon.
