Lambton College delays return to full in-person learning

Lambton College students won't be returning to in-person learning at the end of January like previously hoped.

On Monday, college officials announced the decision to extend the current hybrid learning model for a few more weeks.

Students can now expect to return to in-person learning beginning on Monday, March 7, 2022, after the winter break has ended.

Labs and other practical components that are currently being taught in-person will continue to remain in-person.

Vice President of Academics Mary Vaughn said student schedules will continue to be updated, and those impacted will receive an email notifying them of the changes.

"As we have throughout the pandemic, we are continuing to prioritize the health of our community while also balancing the need to safely provide increased face to face learning opportunities and student experiences for as many students as possible," said Vaughn.

All of the college’s COVID-19 protocols have been updated to reflect all current guidelines from the federal and provincial government, public health authorities, and Ministry of Colleges and Universities.

Additionally, medical grade masks are now available at college entrances.
