Recreation facilities reopen with restrictions

Public health guidelines and restrictions previously in place will continue once recreation facilities in Sarnia-Lambton reopen to the public on Monday.

Under the province's three-phased approach to reopening, indoor public settings will be able to reopen at 50 per cent capacity.

The Municipality of Lambton Shores has issued a reminder that those aged 12 and older must provide an enhanced vaccine certificate with QR code in order to enter all recreation facilities. Active screening and masking requirements will remain in place.

Facility users can take a screenshot or a hard copy of a completed COVID-19 self-assessment using the online screening tool.

Lambton Shores will gradually resume public skating programs, beginning February 1.

The City of Sarnia will resume free public skating at Progressive Auto Sales Arena (PASA) from January 31 until March 31. Due to provincial restrictions, skating participants must pre-register and registration will be capped at 40.

The number of participants and spectators allowed at each rink can be found on the city's website.
