UPDATE: Sarnia boxer in sexual assault case in custody

Sarnia police say a former local boxer, found guilty of sex-related charges, is in custody.

A Superior Court Bench Warrant was issued Wednesday for 29 year old Blake Loxton, after he failed to appear in court for his sentencing hearing Wednesday afternoon.

In a tweet Thursday evening, the Sarnia Police Service said Loxton had been located and apprehended.

He was found in the 1000 block of Willa Drive.

Loxton was found guilty of the charges involving an intoxicated girl under the age of 16, in November of 2021.

He now faces an additional charge of failing to attend court.
