The Sarnia Police Service responded to 91 calls for service on Canada Day.
In an email to Sarnia News Today, police said there were a few notable calls, including a disturbance in the area of Brock Street and Cromwell Street.
Police said an intoxicated 16-year-old female was assaulting people in the street.
She was arrested for indecent acts, public intoxication, causing a disturbance, and obstructing justice. She was later released to her parents.
Police said two pedestrians passed by a motor vehicle and were sprayed with bear spray on Front Street. That investigation is ongoing.
There was a two-vehicle crash at the Vidal Street and Talfourd Street intersection. One vehicle rolled and struck a hydro pole, knocking down power lines.
No injuries were reported.
Both drivers involved were issued tickets under the Highway Traffic Act.
Police said a 17-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle in the area of Lakeshore Road and Blackwell Side Road.
The investigation was ongoing as of Wednesday.
Police reported a weapons call on Williams Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
At around 1:45 a.m., police said four men pulled two guns on the complainant.
There was a ten-minute delay before police were called. The parties were on foot and gone upon arrival. The investigation is continuing.
There was a disturbance on College Avenue.
Police said a 42-year-old man, bound by three probation orders, was causing a disturbance by yelling.
The accused allegedly resisted arrest, and police deployed a taser.
He is charged with seven counts of failing to comply with probation, uttering threats to cause property damage, resisting arrest, and trespassing at night.
He was held for a bail hearing.
And, there were just two arrests made during Canada Day festivities at Canatara Park.
A 65-year-old man was taken into custody for failing to comply with a court order and was held for a bail hearing.
A 28-year-old man was arrested under the Trespass to Property Act and released.
