Sarnia Fire and Rescue says no injuries were reported in a structure fire on Colborne Road Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters from four stations responded to the area, between Hollywood Place and Stonecrest Avenue, over the noon hour.
Two people and two dogs got out safely with the help of working smoke alarms.
The cause was determined to be careless smoking, and a damage estimate was not immediately available.
