Lambton County group claims LOTTO MAX prize

Five individuals from Lambton County, who work together in the engineering industry, are sharing a lottery prize.

Anthony Fanelli, Morag Churchill, Neil Font, Robert McNeil and Tyrone Green have claimed a LOTTO MAX second prize of $173,957.50 from the April 7, 2023 draw.

The group told officials at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) Prize Centre in Toronto that they've been playing the LOTTO MAX together since 2016.

"Everyone gets a copy of the ticket, but I checked it first," said Green. "I checked the numbers, and I couldn't believe it. I thought, 'What are the odds of that?'"

The group has various plans for spending their portions of the prize money.

"Tony plans to complete some home renovations, Neil plans to purchase a new bike, and Rob would like to put some of his win towards his family’s university studies," the OLG said in its news release.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Seo Mini Mart on Exmouth Street in Sarnia.
