Police pulled four alleged impaired drivers off the road Monday.
Lambton OPP said the first incident happened shortly before 5 p.m. Police were notified of a collision on Nauvoo Road near Courtright Line.
While on scene, the officer determined one of the drivers had been drinking and subsequent breath samples indicated they were over the legal limit. A 30-year-old man from Plympton-Wyoming was charged.
Around 10 p.m. Monday, members of Anishinabek Police Service (APS) and Lambton OPP stopped a speeding vehicle near Ipperwash Road. Police said upon speaking with a driver, it became apparent they had been consuming alcohol and a roadside screening device was administered.
The 36-year-old woman from Lambton Shores was arrested for impaired driving. She's also facing charges for failure or refusal to comply with demand after refusing to provide a breath sample.
Just one hour later in St. Clair Township, officers spotted a vehicle being driven erratically after leaving a licensed establishment in Corunna. Following a traffic stop, a roadside screening device was administered and the driver was arrested for impaired driving.
A 64-year-old man was charged with operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
Shortly before midnight, Lambton OPP were called about a driver that had run out of gas on Kimball Road.
Police said the call-takers at the OPP Provincial Communications Centre told responding officers they suspected the caller was under the influence.
While speaking with the driver, police allege she was displaying signs of impairment and breath samples indicated she was over the legal limit. A 31-year-old from Chatham-Kent was charged with operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
All four accused are scheduled to appear in Sarnia court at a later date.
