One person was airlifted to hospital following an overnight shooting in Sarnia.
City police said the male victim along with his girlfriend returned to a residence on Napier Street, near Nelson Street, just after midnight Monday.
It's alleged the victim spotted a masked suspect while exiting the vehicle, at which time the suspect brandished a firearm and began shooting.
"The suspect was just believed to be male, wearing dark clothing, and wearing a mask. That's all we have right now," said Sarnia Police Det. Insp. Leo Murphy.
Police said the victim suffered three gunshot wounds, one in the neck and two in the chest, before he and his girlfriend fled on foot to Sarnia Police Headquarters.
The victim was taken to Bluewater Health for treatment and then airlifted to London in serious condition.

City police said the suspect in this incident is still outstanding and the firearm has not been recovered.
Det. Insp. Murphy said at this point, police don't know if the suspect is known to the victim.
"Our detective branch is in the process of investigating and gathering surveillance footage, and we'll be doing a grid search and more interviews," he said. "So, hopefully we'll know those answers either today or tomorrow."
He said if there is any imminent threat to the community, police will let the public know through the police website and social media.
Anyone with information is asked to call Sarnia police at 519-344-8861 extension 5300 or Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers at 519-332-TIPS (8477).
