On Sunday, the Sarnia Police Service (SPS) responded to an incident involving an off-duty police officer.
Constable Tim VanCowenberg has been charged with assault, forcible confinement, and mischief following an investigation.
No further details are available at this time.
Police said on May 15, at approximately 1:10 a.m., the pair entered the establishment and stole an undetermined amount of goods.
