Students from Sarnia's School of Irish Dance will show off their intricate footwork at the Imperial Theatre Saturday evening.
The school is presenting its annual showcase called "A Celtic Evening."
Spokesperson Mairin Ring said there will be group performances in traditional costumes, and the dancers will share the stage with Celtic musicians, singers and Highland dancers.
"We have more than 40 dancers," said Ring. "Our youngest dancers are about five or six [years old], we have an adult group as well, and of course lots of high school and elementary school dancers."
The school formed in 1997 and holds classes on Saturdays from September to June at the Bluewater Dance Academy on Exmouth Street.
"Our classes are quite busy. I think it's now 30 years since Riverdance hit the scene and at that time there was a huge jump in interest in Irish dance. I think it's kind of become a mainstream dance. It's kept its popularity, so there's always interest," she said.

The school is welcoming Maggie's Wake as its special guest this year.
"They are very dynamic musicians from the London/Owen Sound area," Ring said. "Great fiddlers. They've played with us before and everybody really enjoys their very lively sound."
Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and children (under 12), and $80 for groups of four. They can be purchased online or at the Imperial Theatre Box Office.
The show starts at 7 p.m.
