The former Sunbridge Hotel and Conference Centre in Point Edward is now officially a part of the Marriott Group.
On Monday, the hotel located on Venetian Boulevard changed to Four Points by Sheraton.
General Manager Geoff Eisenbraun said over the past four years the hotel has been undergoing major renovations.
"The hotel itself has been through a $12 million to $15 million renovation, so the product is now all brand new. Every inch of the hotel has been renovated," he said.
The hotel went through some structural changes and now has an open floor plan.
Eisenbraun said he has heard positive feedback from both visitors and staff.
"People have been really enjoying the new product and the service as well," he said.
One of the main changes to the hotel is that it has gone from 220 guest rooms to 168.
Eisenbraun said there is a separate renovation taking place, not a part of the major transition.
"The hotel has actually been split into two, so we have one hotel that's completely renovated and another hotel on the west side of the hotel," he said.
He added that while there are fewer rooms, the meeting space has stayed the same.
Eisenbraun said there have already been positive impacts with this transformation.
"(We're) already seeing elevated levels of business both in our catering business and in our rooms business as well," he said.
According to Eisenbraun, the changeover will not impact any bookings that were previously scheduled.
He said the hotel has already been in contact with the customers to let them know of the change.
Staff at the hotel also went through a two week training and a standards review.
"We're excited to join the Marriott family and at this time we're open for business for not only the Marriott side but for our new restaurant as well," he said.
Part of the rebrand includes a Boston Pizza attached to the hotel.
